In the Eastern Province of Zambia, bicycles are the most popular form of transportation and Katete is no different. From the minute you arrive in the town, you meet all kinds of people using them from school girls, women with babies on their back, charcoal traders etc.
One of the reasons for this is probably due to the fact they are a low maintenance option, don't require fuel and are relatively affordable and the fact that they are environmentally friendly is just a plus. We enjoyed the sites so much we produced two short documentaries and published them for your viewing pleasure
